I know there are other threads w/ links to pics of non-matching bridesmaid dresses, but when I went through them, a lot of the links have expired.

I will be a bridesmaid and the bride-to-be said that we don't need to wear matching styles. I would love to show her some pics of bridesmaids who were told "just wear blue" or "pick any black dress." She said she is open to ideas.

So, please post recent, working links to pics! Thanks.

I don't have any pictures off the top of my head, but what would be awesome, is if someone wanted to start a photo album in the fakey account for this, since it seems like a topic that comes up a lot. If no one else does, I will start one later when I have a little more time.

Turns out I had some time.

Voila! Fakey account photo repository of non-matching bridesmaids!

Legal disclaimer: As I said in the description, I took those pics from IB's who posted in other threads about this subject, and some I just saw. I didn't ask for permission, so if for some reason anyone doesn't want their pics in this album, please remove them and feel free to chastise me if necessary. I will add to this album as I come across more photos, and everyone else here should feel free to do the same, but for the sake of internet privacy, I don't think we should add pics from real weddings taken from other sites without permission from the brides or bridesmaids. I know some people are touchy about that, and I wouldn't want to start any trouble. I think adding posed pics from dress designers' websites is fine, though (still wouldn't want to add real brides w/out permission). Also, if you add to the album, please include the IB's name in the photo title or comment for reference.

ETA: more covering my ass.

I can't figure out how to copy the pic since it's part of a slideshow, but if you go to here and scroll along the bottom, the 4th-last photo is of different dress colours, although it looks more formal and similar styles of dress.

ETA: www.threaddesign.com has a lot of good pics in the Press section and in Weddings. Also, if she is a bridal mag reader... this month's InStyle Weddings has a section on matching color but not exact dresses.

My bridesmaids didn't match, but unfortunately I don't have pictures just yet. My photographer was supposed to have them ready before she went out of town today, but apparently that didn't happen Mad

They wore 3 different J Crew dresses in the same color/fabric/length, but different styles.

Someone recently added a slew of pics to the Fakey account photo album, which is great if they have all been given permission to be posted there. If they have, can whoever added them please put where they came from in the picture title or comments. If permission has not been granted by the bride or members of the bridal party, please take the pictures down. If you would like to add links to where they came from here, I'm sure that would be helpful, but I don't think the pictures should stay up without permission. If they're not tagged within a few days, I'll delete them. Sorry to be so stringent about the internet privacy issue, but I have seen people flamed on other boards for posting pics without permission, and I don't want to be in that position.

Well the wedding of my friend who I was a bridesmaid in on March 17th had us all choose the dress to our liking but we ordered in the same color, from Alfred Angelo. I will decline to post pictures, as I don't think a couple of the girls would want me to. It looked good though, because everybody was in a style that was flattering.

I am having all my girls pick their own dresses, of somewhat similiar color/style/length. But I'm open on it. I am excited to see how it'll look. My girls come in a variety of sizes and shapes so I wanted to make sure they were all comfortable and would truly wear the dresses again!

Wow.. i LOVE LOVE LOVE that picture with the flapper girls!! I love it!! That bride did a really good job pulling that fashion show together! Her veil rocks!

Carebear - That looks awesome! I've told my women to pick their dresses in sage green, dark blue, or dark purple - and I hope it looks as nicely coordinated as yours!

I've got another one to add - this is very non-matching, but I think everyone looks happy and individual!

My bridesmaids were mostly-matching -- all Siri, same colors, but two different styles. I thought they looked very cute! (I guess I could be biased.)
