I did a search, but didn't see another thread exactly for this. This might be a long shot, but I'm starting to price decorations and thought I would see if any IB's have any or would be interested in buying some from me after my May 27, 2007 wedding. I also know there have been threads for service swaps, but maybe we can set up an ongoing decorations swap thread here.
I am looking for and/or will be buying and then want to sell:
*Several strands of white Christmas lights, the longer the strands the better. (I don't care about green cords vs. white cords, though would prefer to have all of one color)
*White and/or light pink paper lanterns and light bulb sockets. Probably 15-20 total
*Votive candles and holders. Will get these if I can't find any cheaper
*White or ivory table cloths to fit ~ 18 5' round tables. These will most likely be rented rather than bought if I can't find any before the wedding, unless I have a sure buyer who will take them after I'm done.
*Cloth napkins, probably ~150. Dark brown would be the ideal color, but would also go for white, ivory, tan, or light pink.
*I've already got 16 4x4x4 small square glass vases/large votive holders that I'll have for after the wedding if anyone else is interested. They look like this, but I'm pretty sure they're slightly bigger.
Anyone have any of these they would be interested in selling for a discount?
Feel free to add other requests to the list.

Jester, I don't have any for you, but I'd be interested in the vases when you're done with them!
One thing I'm looking for or might get on my own and sell is a tiered stand such as this: http://www.epinions.com/pr-Tableware-Wilton_Floating_Tiers_C ake_Stand
We're having pies instead of cake, but these could probably be used for cupcakes as well.
This is a great idea!

Sneaker, I'll definitely keep you posted about the vases. I think they were like $2 each from Wal-Mart, but I'll check with my mom who bought them. If we can work out shipping, that will probably be the major cost depending on where you are.

I'm getting married in August, 2007 in Kansas City, and while our exact decoration plans are still up in the air, I might be interested in the paper lanterns and possibly the christmas lights as well. I'm looking at getting C9s (those big bulby christmas lights) for our reception space, but smaller lights would be good for the ceremony space (either a room at the hotel or by the hotel's pool).
After the party, I'll have the C9s for resale, and I"m also thinking of buying these ( http://www.discountcandleshop.com/product_info.php/products_ id/63) for the reception tables. We're doing more of a lounge thing, with lots of smaller tables and couches for mingling, and I thought those candles would be PERFECT.
I'll post again when I can be more specific about what I need/have to sell.

Lettezilla or anyone else: I would definitely be interested in buying gently used polaroid camera (1 or 2) because I, too, would like to do a polaroid guestbook.
Once again: me getting married at the beginning of august, 2007.
Ooh! And does anyone have non white tablecloths they want to resell?

Kelpie: when is your date?
Lettezilla: since you're getting married 7/7 and i'm getting married 8/4, woudl you be able to get the cameras to me? I'm sure with your international wedding you'll be pretty frazzled. If so, I'd love to work something out, if not, I understand and will look elsewhere.

jam2jar, I just sent you an email!
we were thinking of doing the polaroids, but we own one and my sister got one for Christmas, so we might just use those if we do. Target frequently has new ones on sale for about $25, which may be cheaper than on ebay depending on shipping. Even cheaper would be the izone polaroids if you can find them on ebay or amazon and wouldn't mind the smaller pictures.
I am still planning on buying the Christmas lights and lanterns, so if anyone has some, let me know. If not, I'll post them here to resell afterwards.

i wonder if it's actually worth starting a thread that's just about polaroid cameras? just since it's such a particular interest, and could require some scheduling...let me know if you think that's a good idea.

Oooh, oooh, oooh, pieholdensuite! I would love to use your brown tulle table runners and the vases! I'm in San Diego, so I could arrange to pick up your things and pass them along to the next person. The more the merrier, right?

Yeah, I don't see why that wouldn't work. My wedding is June 23, and we're not going on a honeymoon or anything like that right away, so I could ship them out to you and then you could pass them along.
Our wedding will actually be in Chula Vista (south county) at the Women's Club. Let me know if there's anything I can help you out with, since I'm local!

I have 5 sets of IKEA Skina mini lights up for grabs now if anyone wants them. Mine are light pink. I bought them awhile ago thinking I could use them for something wedding related, but haven't come up with any good ideas yet and am now on to white Christmas lights. One set was used for our Christmas tree a few months ago, but the others have never been used and all are in the original packaging. Willing to sell for $3.00 each or best offer, plus shipping. These would be ideal for someone in the LA area to pick up, because the strings come with a bulky power adapter that is heavy, so total for all 5 sets would probably weigh about 8+ pounds. But I'd still be happy to ship if anyone is interested. Let me know.
I also just bought 20 of these 8" light pink LED battery operated paper lanterns for our reception. They will be available early June for any takers.

JESTER Thanks for help finding this... I have the Christmas lights you were interested in.. I have the 300 light, 74 foot, green cord, clear white lights. I have about 10 of them. They are all brand new, never used in boxes. Do you or anyone else want them? I am not using them for my wedding since we changed venues. So I can send them to you whenever!

lalala, I would be very interested. I've been trying to find them off craigslist, but not much luck so far. How much do you want for them and do you have any idea of how much they would weigh so I could estimate shipping costs? Any info would be great!

FriendNicole, I could have the lanterns shipped to you by then, I'm sure, though it might mean paying a little extra for shipping if you want to have a safe buffer. Batteries aren't included, so we'll have to buy those, and I can include them if you want. I had the lanterns shipped to my Florida where the wedding will be, so I haven't seen them yet, but my mom said they are really cute and the color is nice. Email me through my profile if you want to talk more.
